minimum impressions for a good CTR

Calouro ✭

Given that my keywords are optimized for searches for my product, if:

AdA has 100 impressions and 0 clicks

and

Ad B has 100 impressions and 2 clicks

Then, should I stop Ad A and let only AdB?

If not, what would be the minimum number of impressions to make a decision?

Hey Filipa, how are things?

A good CTR is actually driven by the number of clicks in relation to your impressions, and not the other way around. Usually you'll have to increase the number of clicks for the same amount of impressions.

That's why writing good ads, with call-to-action, benefits, discount and this king of stuff is important. For the same 100 impressions you could get 20 clicks, which would give you 20% CTR%, or 2 clicks, which is 2% CTR%.

For your test, you should definitely wait a little bit more. 2 clicks apart is such a small amount of clicks for you to take action and decide which one is better. Try to change your ad instead, improve it, and make some new tests.

One important thing is that this community is for Portuguese language. For English speakers, the EN community is probably more suitable for you:

Hope this helps.
